The RV TwinTrak was a concept that resulted from a conversation around a campfire early in May 2007 at Valley of the Rogue State Park near the city of Rogue River, Oregon.
Seeing lights hanging hap-hazardly from one end of the awning tube to the other, brothers David and Dennis Nestor decided there must be a better way, you know, a better mouse trap.
After mulling it over and making a few sketches, we decided to call it a night. Had it not been for Dennis' motivation to go for it, it would have been another idea that died by the campfire only to be invented by someone else. At his urging, we decided to proceed with a design.
We took the idea and turned it into a number of conceptual sketches. After deciding on a design, David created preliminary design drawings which were later submitted to an extruder in Salem, Oregon for review and comments. After receiving valuable input for production and cost reduction suggestions, the design was modified, finalized and submitted for quote.
At this point in time, we knew we had a viable product design and proceeded with creating what has become IF Designs, LLC (the "IF" was Dennis' wife's idea for It's Functional). We applied for a patent and placed our first order August 2007.
